Leadership Style Inventory

The effectiveness of a leader depends on both the content of the interaction and his/her leadership style. One who is capable can influence a team member by providing technical guidance and clear directions when needed. However, if he/she is not sensitive to the emotional needs of the team and does not use the appropriate styles of supervision and leadership there is a great danger of crippling their growth. One of the most important tasks of a Leader is to manage the team. This requires an understanding of the capabilities of team members, assigning them appropriate tasks, helping them to acquire new capabilities, maintaining their motivation level, and structuring the work so that each team member can derive some satisfaction from his or her work. The effectiveness of the Leader depends on both the nature of the interaction and the Leader’s style.

Although all supervisors are unique in some way, certain supervisory styles are characteristic of the majority. Any leader may incorporate more than one of these styles into his or her interactions, depending on the situation.

The Leadership Style Inventory is divided into two sections; the first section with 10 different items measures your Leadership Style while the second section with 17 different items measures the Impact your Style has on people working with you.

The manual will be available once the participant enrolls for the course on Psychometric Testing
